Perthshire Amber Festival 2011

I was at a Fantastic music festival recently, called Perthshire Amber - The Dougie MacLean Festival. It is normally based in Pitlochry, but this year it was based in Dunkeld. I think the festival worked better this year and was more closely knit. There were concerts in all sorts of exciting venues- such as Blair Castle, The Crannog, Edradour Distillery, Dunkeld Cathedral, Methven Castle and Castle Menzies. All of them, apart from the Crannog were indoors- so nice and cosy!
The festival runs over ten days and is highly successful. Dougie MacLean brings the best acoustic/folk musicians and bands from around the world! Everywhere from Ayr in Scotland to Novia Scotia in Canada! Amazing.

I met a lot of fantastic musicians and would reccomend it to everyone! See you there next year! X

Rambling Rover

Hello Blogging World!

This is my first ever blog, so please be kind! In my blog, you will find my latest stories, adventures and I'm sure some ramblings will come into it somewhere! I'm told that I am good at cooking and baking, so you may also discover some good recipes along the way! I am also a big fan of Scottish Folk Music, so you will find some interesting posts here about my favourite people. You really never know what you might find!

I have been involved in Social Media platforms: Twitter, facebook and LinkedIn a lot, but I have never attempted a blog! So, cheers and hope you enjoy reading!

Here's a music video to get you started! It relates to "Rambling" and is a song called "Rambling Rover" by a band many years ago called Silly Wizard. I found out about them through Phil Cunningham. His brother was a key player in the band and he himself joined over a short period of time.
